WaitlistStep Up to Preschool: Separating & SoloParent-Child ClassesWeekly Class: Registration Required Students must turn 3 years old by December 1 (born before December 1, 2023). This class is a great option for children who just missed the cutoff for 3-year-old preschool, haven't quite mastered toilet training, or are not ready to attend school without a parent's presence. We start the year as a once-a-week parent-child class on Thursdays. Once students grow comfortable with the class setting and confident during separation time, they will begin attending Fridays (same class time) without parents. We anticipate adding Fridays in mid-January. Students must be toilet trained to attend on Fridays. Sibling care is available for this class on Thursdays only. Notes for registration: Be prepared to select your income level, based on pre-tax household income, in order to determine your price for the class. Select the annual or monthly payment method, and your price will be displayed. An optional survey from the MN Department of Education is included at the end of your registration. (Surveys have no bearing on your registration, but it is helpful to our program if you complete them.) When you are given the choice to "continue shopping or checkout," select continue shopping to add another class or to add another child to the same class. Otherwise, at checkout you will be asked for a payment method (credit card or checking account), which will be charged only if you are placed in a class. When you check out and your registration is complete, you will receive a confirmation email. If you do not receive this email, your registration may not be processed. Trust and Long-Term Estate Planning: Why You Can't Always Trust Your TrustEducation & FinanceA Trust is a very popular component and tool to be used in our estate planning. However, there are a variety of vastly different Trust options to be used, and the question arises: "Am I using the right Trust for my needs and goals?" Trusts often used include: Living Trusts, Testamentary Trusts and Irrevocable Trusts, each serves a different purpose, each has a different result. One common problem that often needs addressing is the over-utilization of the Living Trust for goals or problems that it does not resolve. For example, "Does my Living Trust protect my assets against Medicaid and the nursing home?" The answer is probably no. The Irrevocable Trust and the Testamentary Trust each have their strengths and weaknesses as well. We will clearly define the strengths and weaknesses of these different types of Trusts and when to use them. Explore your goals and wishes to see where they fall in the realm of Trusts. Class encourages questions and we hope to provide answers that will set your mind at ease or assist you in the decision making in this area.Summer 2026 -
