A broad range of skills training and skill-based games are covered. Players will be taught how to properly shoot, pass, dribble, and play defense in a fun and positive environment. WaitlistDriver Education Behind-the-Wheel (BTW)Driver Education-TeensMinors must be enrolled in a behind-the-wheel program before they can take the Knowledge Exam (written test) to obtain their Instructional Permit. Being on a waitlist does not qualify you to receive a blue card. Prerequisite: Students who are at least 15 years of age and have completed Driver Education Classroom. Students who are registered for BTW through Centennial before classroom ends, and are at least 15 years old, will receive their blue e-card within 1-2 business days of classroom completion. Students must have passed their written test and be in possession of their Instructional Permit prior to their first scheduled driving lesson. When choosing your behind-the-wheel lesson schedule, please be mindful of when the student will complete classroom and when behind-the-wheel is scheduled to start to allow for enough time in between to obtain the Instructional Permit and ideally get in some practice driving time prior to their first lesson. Behind-the-wheel consists of 6 hours of hands-on instruction. Licensed staff will guide new drivers through proper driving techniques and skills including right and left turns, 90-degree backing, parallel parking, traffic lights and stop signs, lane changes, one-way, right of way, emergency stop, and much more. Lessons take place using District owned, mid-sized vehicles. Lesson Information: All lessons start and end at the front of the CHS/West Building. Meet your instructor on the sidewalk just to the right of the main entrance by the visitor parking spaces. Lessons with Mickey Bluedorn are two-on-one for six, 2-hour lessons with one hour driving and one hour observing while the other student is driving. Lessons with Matt Fenno are one-on-one for three. When a course section lists a month in the title with no dates noted, that means the instructor will contact you directly to coordinate dates and times for driving to be completed during that month window. If specific dates and times are listed, that is your driving schedule. You must be able to drive on all dates listed. Space is very limited. If you are unable to secure a behind-the-wheel enrollment through Centennial, please look for a full listing of public and private school program locations, as well as licensed driver training school locations in the state of Minnesota, for both phases of the driver education instruction process. Please visit Driver and Vehicle Services, a division of the Minnesota Department of Public Safety. To schedule a knowledge test, go to drive.mn.gov, and follow the prompts. We have heard that these appointments may schedule out some distance. Bring the correct documentation to your appointment and don't forget to pre-apply for your learner's permit to save time at the DMV office. Once registered for BTW and a blue e-card issued, you must remain enrolled for BTW or risk having your permit revoked. For this reason, there are no refunds or cancellations allowed once a blue e-card has been issued. Changes to enrollment are very difficult as this program fills quickly leaving little to no room for rescheduling. If we are able to make a change, there is a $20 fee. If you have been unable to pass the knowledge test, please notify Community Education immediately. Student must have their permit with them for each driving session. If you forget your permit you cannot drive, that counts as a no show resulting in a $93 fee.Fall 2026 -

Drop-In & Play: Non-SeparatingParent-Child ClassesDrop-In Class: No registration required. Registering gets your information into the system to make payments easier, but does NOT guarantee you a spot in the class. Drop-in classes are first-come, first-served until we reach capacity. Drop-in & Play! We're here every Monday and Friday classes are in session. (See calendar on our webpage for holidays.) Come once in a while or make it a weekly habit. Cost is $7.50/child or $15 family, paid by credit card at the door. Multi-visit punch cards are available. Discounted rate available for families who are already registered for a weekly class. Classes are organized by age to provide developmentally-appropriate activities. Parent education is an important part of ECFE, and all weekly classes include a discussion period with a licensed parent educator. Early Childhood Screening6/1/26 Update: If you have a child who will be entering kindergarten in the fall, please contact the district office (763-792-6000) to make an August appointment. If your child will be entering preschool, please continue here to make an appointment for a fall screening. Early Childhood Screening takes place once each month, October through May. (We may hold screenings on additional days to meet state requirements for kindergartners and preschoolers.) Unless otherwise noted, all screenings take place at St. Mark Lutheran Church*, 1 North Rd., Circle Pines. Each month's appointments are available online at least two months in advance. Fall Recreational Soccer Program (Grades K-5 in Fall of 2026)Sports & RecreationUpdate July 29: Registration deadline extended to August 6th! Due to lower than expected enrollment Boys Grade 2 and Grade 3 will be combined, as well as Girls Grades 2 and Grade 3. Boys and Girls Separated for Most Grade Levels if Numbers Allow! Centennial Soccer Club introduces age-appropriate, individual technical development and the tactical concepts of soccer to children in kindergarten through 5th grade. Practice time has a focus on age-appropriate training that will include ball control, dribbling, passing, shooting, defending, and teaching the basics of the game. One day per week will be practice and the other day will be games. Practices will be 45 minutes long. Practice times are evenings and will adapt to changing sunset times as the season goes along. Games will be 60 minutes long. All sessions are led by volunteer coaches. Schedule, field information, roster, etc. will be powered by Sports Engine App (more info will be sent out as teams are formed). Bring a soccer ball: Grades K/1 size 3; Grades 2-5 size 4. Please wear soccer cleats, and shin guards. Season Dates: Wednesdays & Saturdays, August 22 - October 10 (no soccer Sept 5). Times: Your team's practice and game times will be finalized prior to season start. Game times will vary on Saturday mornings. Practice time will be consistent (TBD per team 5 pm or later). Fall Kickoff: August 22. Receive your jersey and meet your coaches at the first practice! Location: Rice Lake Elementary-southeast soccer fields Price: $140 Registration Deadline: August 2. Extended to August 6! No refunds thereafter. Select the correct session based off entering grade for next school year (2026-27), not your current grade level.
