  • Intro to Centennial Marching Band (entering gr. 8-10)

    Calling all Centennial band students entering grades 8, 9 and 10! Would you like to get a glimpse of what it's like to be in the Centennial High School Marching Band? Then this is the place for you! Expect to spend four days with Mrs. Scheibe (CMS), Mr. Kuehn (CHS) and Mr. Hauser (CHS) learning what marching band is all about. Learn music and marching techniques, receive music that you will get to keep, and most importantly make some new band friends! In just four days you will go from a marching beginner to performing an actual marching band show on the field at Centennial High School! Students must bring their own instrument. Students that play a school-owned instrument or are a Percussionists need to communicate with a director. When registering you MUST list the instrument you play and T-shirt size! To receive a camp T-shirt, you must register by July 18, we can't guarantee a T-shirt after this date. Please make sure you provide a current email address for communication. The final performance will be on the Thursday of camp at 11:30 am on the CHS Practice Turf Field, and is FREE and open to the public.

    All ages and skill levels welcome Whether you’re just getting started or ready to take your skills to the next level, enjoy one-on-one music lessons in a private classroom setting. Beginner to Advanced Guitar and Ukulele: Learn rhythm, chords, chord progression, songs, scales, fingerpicking, and improvisation. Intro to Piano (keyboard provided at lesson): Learn chords, chord progression, scales, and finger independence. Intro to Bass Guitar: Learn techniques, scales, chord shapes, and how to navigate the fretboard. Intro to Singing: Find the notes and find your tone by working on vocal techniques, exercises, and scales. Intro to Songwriting & Music Theory: Learn how songs work and why. Intro to Music Performance: Learn how to approach, book, and perform gigs at a professional level.
