34th Annual Golden Lake GallopSports & RecreationJoin us for the 34th Annual Golden Lake Gallop. The Gallop is open to runners and walkers of all ages. Those who prefer 5K and 10K races, use one or both Gallop races to develop different paces. This is a fun run – no age group divisions. Recognition for top three finishers of each gender in the two, four and .5-mile runs. Race check in at Golden Lake Park Pavilion One, 53 W. Golden Lake Rd. Circle Pines. Boys & Girls Basketball Open Gym (entering gr. 4-12)Sports & RecreationPreregistration required to attend - no walk ups! The CHS/West Gyms will be open on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday nights from 7-9 pm for basketball players to practice their skills. A gym supervisor will be onsite for the duration of the open gym. High School coaches may be present on occasion to offer assistance; however, this is not an instructional program - just a chance for athletes to work on their game. Participants will check in each night with the supervisor. Centennial Centurion LEGO Robotics (entering gr. 3-8)AcademicsThe Centennial robotics team, the Centurions, will teach participants STEM skills by designing, building, and programming robots. Leaders from the Centurions will share their knowledge in a fun and supportive environment. Work with 2-3 participants and a LEGO® kit. Develop mechanical, electrical, and programming skills. Put these skills to the test in a fun and supportive robot competition. Parents are welcome to join at 11:30 on the second day for a demonstration. This camp features offensive instruction including technique play for quarterbacks, running backs, receivers and linemen. Defensive instruction includes technique play for interior linemen, linebackers, ends and defensive backs. Kicking game skills will also be covered. Participants will be divided into groups according to age. Come in comfortable athletic clothing and tennis shoes. Helmet and other equipment not needed. Bring a labeled water bottle. Camp includes a t-shirt and instruction by high school football coaches and players. Players who signed up with CYFA for fall 2026 TACKLE football can attend camp for free; however, must register. Beginners will learn the fundamentals and increase individual skills while being introduced to team play. Grades 4-6: co-ed for beginners. Grades 7-9: In addition to basics, we'll work on offensive and defensive skills. Advanced players will have more team play and strategy added onto individual skills.
