Skating is a great hobby for enjoying our Minnesota winters and for some it may be just the first step to learning more advanced skills. You will also get the chance to see our community rink and have it all to yourselves! Tot Skates: Grab your grown-up and join other little skaters your age for some fun on the ice during open skat time! Spend some time building balance, coordination, and basic skating skills together. Skating is also a great way to burn off extra energy for little ones. Don’t forget it's okay to fall, in fact, learning to do it safely is a great skill to have. Bring your own skates if you have them. Very limited skate rentals available at this time.$5 per child/adult pair (up to 2 adults per child) 55+ Silver Skaters: Grab some friends or neighbors and enjoy some dedicated time in the community rink. Tumblers (ages 5-7)Sports & RecreationGymnasts will learn basic tumbling skills such as forward and backward rolls, cartwheels, handstands, basic jumps and locomotor skills, and discover the basics on bars, balance beam, and vault. More advanced Tumblers will work on intermediate skill progressions on floor, bars, balance beam and vault. New skills introduced include back bends, front and back handsprings on floor, back hip circles, and stride circles on bars and cartwheels on low beam.Fall 2026 -

Starting SoonTwos: SeparatingParent-Child ClassesWeekly Class: Registration Required Art, sensory, music, language, and games are the focus of this class as parents learn to appreciate their child's growing curiosity. Parents separate for their discussion time while children continue to play and learn together. Notes for registration: Be prepared to select your income level, based on pre-tax household income, in order to determine your price for the class. Select the annual or monthly payment method, and your price will be displayed. An optional surveys from the MN Department of Education is included at the end of your registration. (Surveys have no bearing on your registration, but it is helpful to our program if you complete them.) When you are given the choice to "continue shopping or checkout," select continue shopping to add another class or to add another child to the same class. Wiggle Time (parent/child ages 2-3)Sports & RecreationChildren will use mats, parachutes, trampoline, and other equipment to explore and discover the world around them developing fundamental movement and problem solving skills. This is a great opportunity to get in the gym with your child and play in a safe, fun, semi-structured environment. Children run, tumble, spend time with you, and develop motor skills. Wolf Howl BonfireSpecial Interest & TripsAll ages welcome. Meet and learn about some of Minnesota’s most fascinating wildlife during a bonfire program at the area's premiere wildlife facility, the Wildlife Science Center. The center’s resident wolves, mountain lions, coyotes, foxes, lynx and raptors will be the focus of this incredible opportunity. At the conclusion of the program, sit fireside and toast marshmallows while the wolves fill the darkness around you with their incredible wild song (feel free to join along if you like). Young ExplorersParent-Child ClassesAdd-On Class: Registration required. The Young Explorers series allows for play and learning focused on a different theme for each class. Classes meet Tuesdays for 3 weeks from 1-2:30pm. Children must be at least a 2-1/2 by the first day of each class; contact our office if your child will be old enough but the system does not allow you to register. Please note that classes may include guest speakers and field trips. This is a separating class, and parenting time will include discussions of theme-related topics as well as general joys and concerns. Cost: $45/child per 3-week class. Sibling care is available for onsite days for an additional $20 per child. Class Dates Description Young Bakers September 15, 22, 29 We will explore age-appropriate baking recipes without using an oven. Young Farmers October 20, 27, November 3 We'll learn about farms, farmers, crops, and animals. A visit to Autumnwood Farms will bring it all to life! Young Scientists November 24, December 1, 8 Opportunities for children to use their minds and hands to play, explore, and learn. What fun things will we create? Young Chefs January 12, 19, 26 We'll be whipping up a variety of recipes you can eat in the classroom and make again at home. Young Friends February 16, 23, March 2 Parents and children practice taking turns and being kind through simple games and group play while visiting and making friends with active older adults in a senior living community. Young Performers March 30, April 6, 13 Bring out your inner superstar! We'll explore the arts and learn about music therapy. Young Gardeners April 27, May 4, 11 How does your garden grow? We'll explore plants and the growing cycle. Prepare to get your hands dirty as we visit All Good Organics in Centerville to see what is growing in the greenhouse and visit the baby goats! Notes for registration: There is no lottery for Young Explorers classes; you will be able to register for any session where there is room. You may register for Young Explorer classes in addition to a year-long weekly class, but each class should be its own enrollment. Youth Fall Volleyball League (co-ed gr. 4-5)Youth Volleyball LeagueA fun and instructional league emphasizing basic skills such as passing, setting, and serving, and game concepts and strategies. Learn through games and drills used to develop skills, increase knowledge of strategy, and a love of the game. Numbers permitting, teams will be formed by school. Please indicate school, grade, and t-shirt size when registering.When you register, please choose the school you attend. Season: Practices will start the week of September 28. Monday is always a practice night. The first two Tuesdays are practices, then games will begin on Tuesday, October 13. Games and practices generally happen between 6 and 8 pm. (Davinci practice times TBD).Game Nights: Tuesday, Oct 13, 20 & 27 and the last game will be on Monday, November 2. Games will be played at Centennial Middle School or other district locations depending on the number of teams. Season ends November 2.Wear comfortable clothes, tennis shoes and bring a labelled water bottle. Please indicate t-shirt size when registering. Price: $119 (discount applied at checkout). Registration deadline is Tuesday, August 24. Registrations accepted thereafter if space permits, cost increases to $129. No refunds thereafter.
