Blastball (ages 3-5 with parent)Sports & RecreationDiscover this fun game that teaches the fundamentals of baseball and softball. Hitting, running, throwing, and fielding will be covered. A parent/guardian is required to be on the field participating with their child. Teamwork, sportsmanship and safety will be emphasized. Each session includes instruction time and then the last session there will be game play. Blastbase honks when you jump on it adding to the excitement to make it to first base. Boys & Girls Basketball Open Gym (entering gr. 4-12)Sports & RecreationPreregistration required to attend - no walk ups! The CHS/West Gyms will be open on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday nights from 7-9 pm for basketball players to practice their skills. A gym supervisor will be onsite for the duration of the open gym. High School coaches may be present on occasion to offer assistance; however, this is not an instructional program - just a chance for athletes to work on their game. Participants will check in each night with the supervisor. Those who are enrolled in Summer Boys Basketball Camp (Course #6154) or Summer Girls Basketball Camp (Course #6105) can register at the reduced rate of $75.Summer 2026 -
Centennial Bowling Club (entering gr. 5-12)Sports & RecreationBowling Club is a fall co-ed sport. Bowlers of all skill experience levels are welcome! New bowlers may attend up to two practices before committing to join. Fee includes practices, coaching by skilled instructors, and regular season competitions. 5th and 6th graders are eligible for practice only. Practices will be held at Bowlero Blaine, our sponsoring bowling center for the Centennial High School bowling team, on Monday and Wednesday afternoons from 4-5:30 pm. Bowlers must provide their own transportation to practices and meets. The team manager can help arrange carpooling for those that are interested. Conference meets will take place one day per week on Friday afternoons at bowling centers in Arden Hills and Mounds View from early September through mid-November (skipping MEA). The club end dates are estimates and will depend on the meet schedule. Students are welcome to join at any time. No equipment is needed and a Centennial bowling t-shirt is included. Coach-Pitch Baseball (ages 6-10)Sports & RecreationCoach-pitch baseball is for ages 6-10 who are a little more advanced than t-ball. If registration numbers allow, we will group players based on age. The coaches will pitch the ball to the batters overhand, instead of hitting off a tee. Players need a glove and helmet. Fee includes a t-shirt and hat. We do need volunteer coaches, 2 per team. Coaches will receive a refund on one child's registration fees, a free team t-shirt and hat. We are using fields at Golden Lake and Centerville Elementary. Please indicate your preferred location during registration. We will do our best to honor your location preference, but we will group by age first. Teams will practice and play games at one of those two locations or both if we combine locations. Approximate times will be 6-7 pm or 7-8 pm. Practices on Tuesdays will share fields and green spaces. Coaches will call their own games on Thursdays, no umpires. We will try and honor one friend request per player - please note this at time of registration, and they must be reciprocated by the other party. Each location will have 4 teams, with a max of 12 players per team. Deadline to register is Friday, May 22. No refunds after this date.Summer 2026

Beginner Rec Team practices will primarily all be on the small side of the gym (also on warped wall and area of the large side), specifically set up for the beginner level with competitions being on the big side. Once you've mastered the basic techniques and challenges, you can move up to the Advanced Rec Team, which is all on the big side of the gym. Our Conquer Rec Team is designed for youth ages 6-13 of all experience levels. Our Rec Team will practice on real obstacles inspired by the TV show such as warped walls, salmon ladders, tilting ladders, and so much more during their weekly practice. Rec Team members will learn the styles and techniques to develop their Ninja Skills with over 40 different obstacles! This camp features offensive instruction including technique play for quarterbacks, running backs, receivers and linemen. Defensive instruction includes technique play for interior linemen, linebackers, ends and defensive backs. Kicking game skills will also be covered. Participants will be divided into groups according to age. Come in comfortable athletic clothing and tennis shoes. Helmet and other equipment not needed. Bring a labeled water bottle. Camp includes a t-shirt and instruction by high school football coaches and players. Players who signed up with CYFA for fall 2026 TACKLE football can attend camp for free; however, must register. Otherwise, the camp fee is $65. Please select the session that correlates with your child's grade level they will be entering in the fall. Cougar Volleyball Camp (entering gr. 4-9)Sports & RecreationJoin the CHS girls' varsity coach and players for camp. Beginners will learn the fundamentals and increase individual skills while being introduced to team play. Grades 4-6: co-ed for beginners. Grades 7-9: In addition to basics, we'll work on offensive and defensive skills. Advanced players will have more team play and strategy added onto individual skills. Grades 7-9 may sign up for both sessions but will be separated by level of skill for safety reasons. Bring knee pads and a labeled water bottle. Camp includes T-shirt (one per participant). Athletes will learn basic lacrosse fundamentals including stick handling, cradling, passing and shooting all in a fun, non-checking environment. This is a non-contact camp, helmets, gloves and mouth guards are not required but can be brought with and worn. Sticks and safety lacrosse balls are provided.
