Middle School Speech Team (gr. 6-8)

Speech Team is an academic program where students prepare and then present a speech at meets throughout the season. The Speech Season runs December and January.

The Centennial Middle School Speech Team is a long-standing program that has been around for over 25 years. In addition to improving public speaking skills, Speech improves a student's confidence and is a great program to develop long lasting friendships and camaraderie.

Speech is open to any level of experience. You don't need any experience in public performing to join speech!

Rehearsals are in December. Meets will be in January. There will be meets in Minnetonka, Eden Prairie (Finals Meet) and a Centennial Home meet. Meets are after school with busses leaving around 2:30 or 3:00 and returning back to Centennial around 7:30 - 9:00 Meet will be announced in fall of 2026 and the rehearsal and meet schedule is posted at centennialtheatre.org under “Middle School Speech”
